Gold Prices in Pakistan Jump by Rs900 per Tola Amid Global Gains

August 26, 2025 (Azee News): Gold prices in Pakistan moved higher on Tuesday, tracking the upward trend in the international bullion market.

According to data released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs900, reaching Rs360,700 in the local market. Similarly, the rate of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs772, settling at Rs309,242.

On the previous trading day (Monday), gold had closed at Rs359,800 per tola in Pakistan.

In the international market, the yellow metal also registered gains. Gold was quoted at $3,380 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking an increase of $9 during the session.

Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged, with the rate standing firm at Rs4,121 per tola.

Market analysts attribute the fresh rally in gold to safe-haven demand amid global economic uncertainties, while domestic prices continue to reflect both international movements and fluctuations in the Pakistani rupee.
