Kohat Cement Company Limited has successfully installed and energized an additional 2.32 megawatt on-grid solar power system at its Kohat plant, increasing the company’s total on-grid solar generation capacity to 17.66MW.

The development was disclosed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange in accordance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015 and Clause 5.6.1(a) of PSX Regulations. Following the latest addition, Kohat Cement’s on-grid solar capacity has risen from 15.34MW to 17.66MW, reflecting the company’s continued focus on energy efficiency and sustainable power solutions.

The expansion is expected to strengthen energy reliability at the plant level, reduce operating costs, and enhance the company’s renewable energy footprint. The move also aligns with broader industry trends toward lowering dependence on conventional energy sources amid rising power costs.
