RDA Inflows Reach $164m in August, Cumulative Total Crosses $10.9bn

Inflows into Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) stood at $164 million during August 2025, taking the cumulative total to $10.91 billion, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The monthly inflows declined by $21 million compared to July’s $185 million. Out of the August inflows, $23 million was repatriated abroad while $110 million was utilized locally, leaving a net increase of $31 million in the Net Repatriable Liability (NRL).
Cumulatively, RDA repatriation and local utilization have reached $8.86 billion — with $1.86 billion repatriated and $7.0 billion utilized within Pakistan. This leaves the NRL at $2.05 billion, about 18.8% of total RDA deposits.
The breakdown of NRL investments includes:
- $485 million in Conventional Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs)
- $958 million in Islamic NPCs
- $82 million in equities
- $478 million in account balances
- $49 million under other liabilities
During August, 9,174 new accounts were opened, bringing the total number of RDAs to 851,756.
RDA continues to serve as a key channel for overseas Pakistanis and Pakistan Origin Card holders to access digital banking, investments, and payments in Pakistan, fully online and without the need for physical presence.
