Secure Logistics-Trax Group Limited (Pakistan Stock Exchange: SLGL) is moving ahead with the acquisition of a FinTech software intellectual property suite and the arrangement of digital lending facilities of up to Rs500 million, marking a key milestone in the rollout of its Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) operations.
Referring to its corporate disclosures dated August 19, 2025 and October 3, 2025, the company said it has made significant progress on its FinTech initiative.
Following the issuance of an NBFC licence to LogiServe (Private) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of SLG-Trax, the FinTech category has also been added to LogiServe’s Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) licence. LogiServe’s financial performance is consolidated into the group’s financial statements.
SLG-Trax said it has successfully concluded commercial negotiations with Finova Technologies Pte. Ltd. for the acquisition of the intellectual property suite of a FinTech software platform, resulting in the execution of a binding Head of Terms.
In parallel, the company is engaging with multiple financial institutions to arrange sizeable digital lending facilities. As part of a pilot project launched in February 2025, SLG-Trax has deployed Rs75 million with its e-commerce merchants, achieving a throughput of around Rs4.5 billion to date.
According to a public announcement filed with the PSX, the acquisition of the FinTech software IP and the arrangement of digital lending facilities are expected to be completed by end-February 2026.
The initiative is aimed at supporting the expansion of SLG-Trax’s e-commerce operations while introducing digital lending as a sixth revenue stream, alongside logistics, e-commerce, warehousing, IoT and security services.
The company added that the rollout of digital wallet services and the deployment of additional capital through NBFC operations for its e-commerce merchants are expected to have a material positive impact on financial results for FY2026. A final update will be shared upon completion of the acquisition and capital deployment.
