K-Electric Secures Stay in Civil Suit, Court Suspends December 2 Order

K-Electric Limited (KE), headquartered at KE House, 39/B, Sunset Boulevard Phase II, Defence Housing Authority, Karachi, has successfully obtained a stay on the December 2, 2025 court order in its ongoing Civil Suit No. 111 of 2023 against Syed Asad Ali Shah. The appeal, filed by KE through its authorized representative Rizwan Pesnani, Chief Risk Officer & Company Secretary, was taken up for hearing by the District Court on December 19, 2025. Following the hearing, the court suspended the operation of the impugned order and reinstated the earlier stay order in favor of KE. The stay protects the company and its officials from harassment, including through letters, emails, social media, statements to third parties, or creation of media pages aimed at maligning KE.
