Meezan Bank Declares 70% Interim Dividend Despite Dip in Half-Year Profit
ISLAMABAD, August 13, 2025 — Meezan Bank Limited has announced its unaudited financial results for the half-year ended June 30, 2025, declaring a substantial interim cash dividend despite lower profitability compared to last year.
The Board of Directors approved an interim cash dividend of Rs. 7.00 per share (70%) for the half-year, in addition to the earlier interim dividend of Rs. 7.00 per share (70%) already paid.
The bank posted a profit before taxation of PKR 102,442.30 million, compared to PKR 106,274.41 million in the corresponding period of 2024. Profit after taxation fell to PKR 46,163.80 million from PKR 51,444.18 million last year.
Earnings per share (EPS) stood at PKR 25.72, down from PKR 28.72 in the same period last year.
