Pakistan ICT exports reach record $437 million in December 2025

Pakistan’s information technology and ICT exports reached a historic level in December 2025, surpassing the $400 million mark in a single month for the first time and reinforcing the sector’s leading role in services-driven export growth.

According to figures shared by Khurram Schehzad, ICT exports climbed to a record $437 million in December, reflecting a strong 23% month-on-month increase from $356 million in November 2025. On a year-on-year basis, exports rose 26% compared to $348 million recorded in December 2024, underscoring steady demand for Pakistan’s technology services abroad.

The robust monthly performance boosted cumulative ICT exports for the first half of FY26. During 1HFY26, the sector generated $2.24 billion in export earnings, up 20% from the same period last year. This continued momentum has made ICT the largest and most reliable contributor within Pakistan’s services export portfolio.

The data points to a strengthening tech ecosystem supported by software development, IT-enabled services, and digital freelancing. Sector stakeholders and policymakers view the sustained growth trend as a positive sign for foreign exchange inflows, employment, and the country's broader digital transformation objectives.
