Zarea Limited signs $2m MoU with Chinese agri-tech company at Pak–China Investment Conference

Zarea Limited (PSX: ZAL) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wang Chuang Xi Jun Chang Agri Ltd., a major Chinese agri-platform enterprise, marking the beginning of an initial $2 million collaboration phase during the Pak–China Investment Conference held in Islamabad.

According to the company’s filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the partnership aims to unlock growth opportunities across Pakistan’s agriculture sector through the deployment of technology-led solutions. The areas of cooperation will include modern seed technologies, agronomic advisory powered by data and digital tools, structured labor and grower management, scalable production systems, and enhanced cross-border agri-trade between Pakistan and China.

Zarea stated that the initiative is designed to strengthen agricultural productivity, traceability, and supply chain efficiency, while accelerating the modernization of Pakistan’s agri-value chain. The collaboration is further expected to support technical knowledge transfer, international market exposure, and potential export pathways for local growers and agribusinesses.
